Come play a role in the growth of MLB Media, the Advertising and Sponsorship division of Major League Baseball. We are looking for an energetic, experienced sales representative in the West region. Responsibilities: * Sales prospecting, presenting, negotiating, closing and managing of digital, social, network, and corporate partnerships for Major League Baseball * Work closely with a national team to maximize multimedia revenue to Baseball * Cultivate deep relationships at assigned Agencies at on Client list with the goal of enhancing these relationships, building new clients and opportunities, and producing revenue on a consistent, quarterly basis to meet and exceed revenue goal targets * Actively mentoring support staff and overseeing the stewardship of proposals, deals and post-deal analysis * Will be responsible for a western region revenue goal. * Analyze market trends in preparation for yearly Upfront and Scatter negotiations. * Proactively prospect and research accounts to drive new business. * Travel as necessary in the western US. Qualifications and Skills: * Must have a minimum 5-10 years of media sales experience with proven sales track record. * Must have working knowledge of the western US advertising marketplace. * Must have experience with national media sales, including national linear and digital sales. * Sports Sales Experience a plus * Must have strong relationships built with key marketers and influential ad agency personnel. Preferred relationships in the following categories: Entertainment/Studios, automotive, gaming, technology, hotel & travel, emerging internet categories.
