Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service in a retail store environment. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in helping customers find the products they need, enhancing their shopping experience through effective upselling techniques, and maintaining an organized and well-stocked store.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. - Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored recommendations. - Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales. - Perform cash handling duties, including operating the cash register accurately and efficiently. - Maintain inventory by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting regular stock checks. - Demonstrate product knowledge through engaging product demos to educate customers on features and benefits. - Supervise junior staff members as needed, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures. - Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store to create a welcoming shopping environment.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. - Basic knowledge of retail math for handling transactions and managing inventory levels. - Experience with cash handling and operating cash registers is advantageous. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self- motivated. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
