Summary We are seeking a skilled Sales Analytics and Reporting Specialist to drive our data-driven sales strategy. In this role, you will leverage your data analysis and reporting expertise to provide valuable insights that enhance sales performance, streamline operations, and support strategic decision-making across the organization. Working alongside marketing, sales, finance, and cross-functional teams, you will support key business initiatives, monitor sales trends, and provide data- backed recommendations to help the business grow. You will optimize our current reporting practices and contribute to developing industry-leading approaches for data analytics within the commercial team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret complex sales and marketing data. Develop and maintain robust reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to track and improve sales effectiveness and alignment with business goals. * Sales Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and provide insights to support data-driven decisions. Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from the sales team to support timely adjustments in strategy. * CRM and Data Management: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within CRM and other sales tools. Support data entry processes, maintenance, and updates to facilitate reliable reporting. * Forecasting Support: Collaborate with sales leadership to develop accurate sales forecasts by providing data analysis, historical trends, and insights on pipeline activity. * Market Research and Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Translate findings into actionable insights. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to align analytics initiatives with broader business objectives and participate in cross-departmental projects to drive success. Key Technical Competencies * Data Analysis and Visualization : Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling) and SQL skills for querying and managing large datasets. Proficient in Tableau or Power BI for creating dashboards and reports that effectively convey insights to stakeholders. Python or R familiarity for advanced analysis and statistical modeling is a plus. * CRM and Sales Tools : Experienced in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) for data entry, segmentation, and reporting. Skilled in CRM integration with other platforms and workflow design to enhance data quality and reporting accuracy. * Business Intelligence (BI) Tools : Proficient in BI platforms for advanced analysis, customized metrics, data source management, and data accuracy. * Data Management and ETL : Knowledgeable in data cleaning, validation, and transformation best practices. Experienced with ETL tools or custom pipelines to streamline data flow and ensure integrity. * Forecasting and Predictive Analytics: Familiar with forecasting techniques and predictive analytics to support sales forecasting and trend identification. * Reporting Automation : Proficient in automation tools (VBA, Power Query, and other similar tools) to streamline reporting. Experience with scripting or macros to automate repetitive tasks is a strong advantage. * Data Governance and Security: Knowledge of data governance practices for compliance with data security regulations (e.g., GDPR). Familiar with role-based access and data encryption to secure sensitive data in analytics workflows. Education and Experience Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales analytics, data analysis, or a related analytical role. * Proven proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI. * Experience working cross-functionally to support sales or marketing initiatives. * Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with a demonstrated capability to present data insights to senior leadership effectivelyAEM, Inc
