Job Overview Virongy Biosciences is an innovative biotech company developing advanced viral technologies for research, diagnostics, and therapeutic development. Our platforms include patented viral pseudotyping systems, viral quantification assays, and novel viral enhancement tools used for accelerating gene therapy, vaccine research, and infectious disease modeling. We are seeking a part-time Business Development Manager with a strong scientific foundation and industry experience in vaccines, biodefense, or virology. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing biotech company and help shape its strategic partnerships and revenue growth. We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and leading initiatives to enhance our sales strategies. Responsibilities * Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth targets. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. * Monitor industry trends and funding opportunities (e.g., NIH, BARDA, DoD) relevant to Virongy's platforms. * Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development strategies with overall company goals. * Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. * Lead project management efforts for new initiatives, ensuring timely execution and delivery. Qualifications * Strong familiarity with the vaccine, virology, biodefense, or infectious disease space. * Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in a related industry. * Strong skills in strategic planning and project management. * Proficiency in Salesforce or similar customer relationship management software. * Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market conditions and identify opportunities for growth. * Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships. * A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
