Principal Responsibilities: This individual will be responsible for assisting with Braintree's efforts to introduce its serves to federal, state and local governments, conduct marketing efforts and follow-up, coordinate the completion of a proposal to become listed on the GSA Federal Supply Schedule for MOBIS procurements, and contribute to the development of PowerPoint presentations. The person in this position will also conduct research on and initiate contact with potential new clients in a business development capacity. Position Qualifications: The Business Development Associate position is mid- level. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented. Applicants must have exceptional writing skills, excellent verbal communication skills and a strong customer service orientation. Person should work well both independently and in a team environment. A background in socioeconomic development is preferred but not required. Graduate degree preferred. The applicant must have a demonstrated commitment to nonpartisan, non-ideological objective research and an ability to work with a diverse group of foundations, community-based organizations, researchers, and governmental agencies. The successful applicant will be expected to acquire a basic understanding of a specific analytical methodology and its application to substantive issues in socioeconomic development. Experience with databases, the graphical display of information and web page development a plus.
