Job Description

The Sail Loft, a boutique in the heart of downtown Newport, features national brands including Insight, Gretchen Scott, Pistache, Tommy Bahama, and Robert Graham. Our seaside location sets the stage for a lively, fun, and energetic workplace. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service, providing a highly memorable and personalized customer experience through product knowledge and an exceptional store environment. We are looking for full-time/part-time, year-round/seasonal sales associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash and processing transactions accurately.
• Maintain an organized stock area, ensuring that shelves are well-stocked and products are displayed attractively.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and restocking shelves as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations, achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

:

• Fashion knowledge of womens' and mens' apparel.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable.
• Enthusiastic and open-minded.
• Confident and competent.
• Work well as a part of a team. Must be available to work days/nights, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
