Location/Division Specific Information The UV-Vis Sales Specialist role will cover a New England Territory. Candidate can be based anywhere in MA within our dynamic Sales division. No relocation assistance provided. This position offers the chance to work with a world- class team dedicated to driving scientific innovation. A day in the Life: * Independently make decisions, but also apply available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of internal resources. * Perform sales calls with customers in the assigned territory. * Develop and implement sales strategies to compete in the market. * Analyze channel and specific account needs, develop tailored courses of action, and implement these plans, revising them as needed. * Researches competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data into the business plan and sharing with the business; Introduce new products and services. * Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for proper management of territory Education * Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the sciences Experience * 3+ years of instrument sales experience in the scientific field. * Demonstrated success in a driven sales environment. * Experience with UV-Vis spectroscopy products and working with channels is a plus. Keys to Success: * Proven track record to meet and exceed sales targets. * Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. * Strong analytical skills to successfully drive sales strategies.Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.
