Job Title: Sales Manager Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $90,000-$190,000 annually * Base Salary: $90,000-$110,000 * Performance-based incentives available Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our freight brokerage sales team. This role is pivotal in developing long-term client relationships, executing strategic sales initiatives, and building a high-performance sales organization to achieve aggressive revenue targets. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to maximize revenue opportunities through strategic market and lane expansion. * Design, implement, and lead effective sales strategies aligned with company goals. * Recruit, onboard, and mentor Business Development and Sales team members. * Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of CRM system to support sales operations. * Develop and execute training programs to enhance team performance and ensure consistent growth. * Drive overall sales performance and ensure targets are met or exceeded. * Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and support to the sales team. * Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with customer expectations. * Set and monitor ambitious sales goals, KPIs, and benchmarks. * Attend customer meetings with sales representatives to support relationship management and business growth. * Generate and present sales reports and forecasts to leadership. * Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions, adjusting strategies as needed. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required. * Minimum 7 years of experience in outside freight sales. * At least 2 years of management experience, including team training and development. * Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and drive substantial revenue growth in a freight brokerage environment. * Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. * Willingness to travel up to 25%.
