Job Overview/Summary: The Business Development Analyst/Manager will support the business development, investor relations and public relations functions within Calidi. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to the following: * Oversee business development tasks, including: * Maintain and manage database with relevant industry news, including information related to financings, clinical data, management changes, mergers and acquisitions, and general scientific trends * Summarize and present relevant information to executive staff, including strategic recommendations of business development paths to pursue * Organize and lead meetings with relevant partners, provide relevant background information, follow up after meetings * Enroll and coordinate the company in financial and scientific conferences * Research market size and market data analysis related to various indications and potential opportunities * Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders * Be thoroughly knowledgeable of the Calidi products and core business capabilities * Monitor investor relations emails and calls, respond to complex investor questions * Oversee investor relations tasks, including: * Track company's and industry comparable stock price and correlated metrics and provide insight * Engage with investor relations firms and oversee various initiatives * Manage press release process, including initial drafting, review cycle and distribution * Interface with provider for investor relations section of the website, including ensuring updated financial, governance, presentations press releases and other information * Oversee public relations tasks, including: * Maintaining and enhancing the corporate website, monitoring consisent messaging * Ensuring press releases and other news are updated on the website * Primary contact and driver for website overhauls and IT related functions * Oversee social media management and distribution ensuring alignment with public relations strategy Skills/Qualifications: * Experience at a biotech preferred; public company experience a plus. * Research skills * Attention to detail * Deadline-oriented * Confidentiality and thoroughness Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Science, or similarly related degree * Minimum 5 years of progressive relevant experience or equivalent * Previous experience in science, business development or investor relations roles * Strong experience with PowerPoint presentations and Excel database management * Previous employment at Big Pharma a plus Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as calculations and reconciliations. Ability to apply concepts such as percentages and ratios to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Language Skills: Ability to read and understand business procedures. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present data and respond to questions from co-workers.
