Job Summary

: We are a locally owned community pharmacy dedicated to friendly service and personalized care. We're looking for a reliable, customer-focused Cashier/Clerk to join our team. This position is a key part of our front- end operation, helping ensure a smooth, positive experience for every customer who walks in.

Responsibilities

:

  • Greet customers with a friendly, helpful attitude
  • Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately
  • Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods
  • Assist customers with purchases, returns, and general questions
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
  • Stock shelves and front-end merchandise as needed
  • Alert the pharmacy team to any customer inquiries regarding prescriptions or health products
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff
  • Assist with daily cleaning and restocking tasks
  • Follow pharmacy policies, including privacy and confidentiality standards (HIPAA)
Qualifications

:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor
