Description: Are you interested in becoming a successful insurance sales professional? As a member of the Business Development Team you will have the opportunity to acquire the training necessary to build upon your foundation of insurance knowledge within two years. If you do too, you may have found your next home! * Job Duties: * Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, with a commitment to a workplace of dignity and respect, in compliance with equal employment opportunity standards and regulations; * Identify and research potential clients through various channels and tap into untapped markets and potential clients; * Demonstrate a proactive approach to lead generation by developing and implementing sales strategies to engage prospective clients; * Meet activity goals, such as making outbound calls, scheduling new business appointments, etc.; * Use a results-oriented mindset to meet new business goals; * Actively and consistently develop and refine your insurance and sales skills so you are ready to start building, managing, and growing your own book of business prior to your two-year anniversary; * Assist with and learn quoting and account rounding; * Conduct needs assessments to understand the specific insurance requirements of potential clients; * Assist with creating and preparing insurance proposals; * Participate in team sales efforts with other producers; * Create and maintain client accounts through EPIC (client/account management system); * Educate clients on available insurance products and services, emphasizing our values; * Implement policy change requests and endorsements; * Maintenance and establish client setup on risk management software; * Perform other sales related client service administrative tasks with increasing complexity; * Develop and maintain internal relationships consistent with our corporate culture; * Potential member of CAT (Catastrophic) Team; * Attend and participate in various online and in-person seminars to increase knowledge of technical and soft skills. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Florida 4-40 or 2-20 License within 6 months of hire. * Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. * Strong desire to learn and grow as an insurance professional. * Minimum of 6 months of prior employment. * Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. * Proficient with Microsoft Word, and Outlook. * Intermediate knowledge of Excel required. * Clean driver's license and reliable transportation.
