Full description of the position

We are seeking a motivated Business Development / Marketing Coordinator with great communication and graphic skills to support our business development and marketing initiatives in both our Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD locations. The ideal candidate will have solid research, writing, and editing skills; excellent graphics capabilities; and a keen interest in the environments in which we live and work. While experience in an architecture, design or engineering firm is a benefit, we are also open to those with other applicable/tangential experience such as creative strategy consulting, PR/communications, advertising, and graphic design. The role will report to our Principals and collaborate with the entire team. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to: * Leading development of RFP/RFQ responses * Managing firm's public presence through marketing, business development, and public relations * Designing professional proposals and qualifications packages, presentations, and other external outreach (using InDesign) * Leading photography and award submissions * Writing and editing project descriptions, introductory letters, firm profiles, and staff bios for proposals and other related material * Updating firm website content through Squarespace * Conducting market research to identify new growth opportunities * Maintaining the firm's opportunities, leads, and contact tracking lists (CRM) A qualified candidate will have: * Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural History, Art History, Visual Studies, Graphic Design, Communications, Creative Writing, or Digital Marketing preferred * 1-3 years of relevant experience * A positive, can-do attitude; time management skills; and the agility to pivot from one project to the next * Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign) * Strong attention to detail * Familiarity with Squarespace and email marketing services preferred * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to assume a company "voice" * Highly organized and capable of effectively leading multiple projects and tasks concurrently * Adaptable and resourceful in handling tight deadlines * Strong ability to work proactively and take initiative to accomplish tasks and anticipate next steps * Ability to interact with clients, consultants, and colleagues with the utmost professionalism Do these criteria describe you?
