Personal Lines Insurance Agent II Location: Syracuse, NY Pay Range: $55,000 flat base + commissions This position has a requirement to be onsite, with Hybrid capability Who Are We? The Position: AmeriCU Credit Union is in search of a Personal Lines Insurance Agent II who aligns directly with our mission to provide our members with the right financial services to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success, and our vision to be the most admired organization in every community we serve. The individual in this role will work in collaboration with the Assistant Vice President of AmeriCU Insurance Services, plan, lead and generate production in areas of personal insurance demand so as to contribute to the continued profitable growth of the Financial Services Division. Will coordinate activities with Member Relations & Marketing Division and the Member Business Services Department as well as personal insurance clientele. This role works primarily with individuals to meet insurance needs. What You 'll Do: As a Personal Lines Insurance Agent II*yo* ur primary responsibilities will be able to: * Generate production to achieve a proper mix of personal insurance as outlined in the financial plan and individual counseling. * Promote products of carriers that the Division has identified as a strategic partner or alliance. * Follow-up on leads to ensure growth of the book of business consistent with and in support of the strategic goals and objectives of the Credit Union. * Obtain and follow up on information concerning underwriting and claims as requested by the AVP, Insurance and Wealth Services. * Keep abreast of trends and techniques and use Insurance Services Division selling aids to maintain a competitive status within the industry, including but not limited to letters, phone calls, referrals, group, and individual presentations. * Attend seminars or other educational opportunities as required to remain up to date on the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the marketplace. * Solicit business and submit applications to the proper area and ensures direct compliance with all guidelines and regulations. * Responsible for insurance binding coverage within limits established by the AVP, Insurance and Wealth Services. * Collect premiums on behalf of the Division, when appropriate. * Produce written premiums that meet or exceed budgeted forecast percentages in designated areas. * Produce volume sufficient to generate an income that will meet or exceed budgeted forecast percentages. * Produce new business opportunity in a mix established and outlined in the Insurance Services Division's financial and strategic plan which will assist in the generation of gross income. * Refer products back to AmeriCU Credit Union.
