Sales Support Associate (No Cold Calling) This position is located in Leavenworth, KS, just northwest of Kansas City. Compensation Starting Pay $41,800 to $48,000/yr, depending on experience We do not pay commissions. This is the annual rate of pay. Work from Home Requirements This position may be eligible for 50% telecommuting after training period and satisfactory job performance. As a member of the New Member Sales Team, you'll be responsible for providing sales support to aid in expanding of the company's book of business for Property and Casualty insurance products. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who responds to and initiates telephone, email, and written communications with policyholders/prospects for the purpose of servicing AFI (includes AFI and AFIA) products. Core Functions * Makes outbound calls to customers or interested third parties to provide or obtain additional information and follow up on previous contacts. Takes inbound calls as needed. * Assists Sales Consultants with fulfillment of application processing and following up with required documentation. * Provides maintenance of AFI policies for retention of membership. Must have*Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED * At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a financial services environment * Associate's Degree or BA/BS Degree may be substituted for experience * Excellent verbal and written communications skills, to include a courteous, confident demeanor and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary * A provable track record of assertiveness, dependability, trustworthiness, strong communication skills and ability to support sales targets * Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills * Keyboard skills of at least 35 wpm Nice to Have Qualifications * Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word * Prior knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance products risk management profiles, and related state and federal regulations * Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures What professional education requirements do I need to obtain * Successful completion within 90 days of standardized training in Principles of Insurance, Dwelling Coverages, Homeowner Coverages, and Personal Auto Coverages * Completion of AINS 101 and AINS 102 within 33 months in the position * if incumbent did not have prior experience in a position with this requirement Benefits * Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, life & disability insurance including an employee assistance program (EAP) * 401(k) including employer match & safe harbor contributions * Generous paid time off policy, medical leave, volunteer time off and 9 paid holidays * We support employee training and professional development opportunities with a tuition reimbursement program and continuing education and re-certification opportunities * Volunteering and community engagement opportunities Who are we and what we're about Since 1887, Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) has existed with a single, unwavering purpose: To protect the people who protect our nation.
