High end optometrist in Carlsbad in beautiful office is seeking a team member to help patients purchase glasses frames and lenses. Our office has been in the area for decades and has loyal patients that come back year over year for the excellent service and care we provide. We are looking for an individual who can match our high standard of excellence in our optical department. The ideal candidate has some experience in sales or is willing to learn, enjoys talking to people all day and thrives in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities: * Primary responsibility is to get to know each individual customer on a personal level to understand their needs and help them connect with the correct product. * Present and sell high end frames including luxury brands like Tom Ford, Oliver People, Armani, Prada, Tory Burch and others. Learn and understand the brand stories, strengths and target demographics to close sales. * Present and sell high performance lenses by being able to discuss the important features, technological advancements and necessity of the best product. * Present and sell contact lenses based on the doctors prescription. * Receive frame product inventory, enter into computer system, apply proper pricing and set on display. * Place orders for frame and lenses in a timely manner. Likewise, receive shipments of frames and lenses, check in jobs and notify patients their eyewear is ready for pickup. * When required, send bills to insurance for payment. Qualifications: * Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields * Willing to put in the time to gain expertise in optical niche industry. * Familiarity with using computer systems to document sales. * Ability to build rapport with clients * Strong negotiation skills * Deadline and detail-oriented * Enjoys staying busy at all times, and looks for things to do in between working with patients. * Spanish speaking is a bonus.
