Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate who LOVES animals to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. Your primary focus will be on driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all visitors. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Process sales transactions efficiently using POS systems, including managing returns and exchanges. * Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customers to make informed purchasing decisions. * Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displays are appealing. * Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance. Requirements * Previous pet owner experience or working in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. * Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions with accuracy. * Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with customers over the phone. * Basic math skills for calculating totals, change, and discounts accurately. * Ability to effectively demonstrate products and engage customers in conversation about their needs. * Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service. * A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting store offerings is highly desirable. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
