SALES SUPPORT SUPERVISOR JOB ID 47058 State of New Hampshire Job Posting NH Lottery Commission Sales Support Team 14 Integra Dr. Concord NH 03301 SALES SUPPORT SUPERVISOR Position # 14429 Starting pay range: $25.40/hour - $32.73.00/hour The State of New Hampshire, Lottery Commission has a full-time vacancy for Sales Support Supervisor. Summary: Implements, manages, and administers the activities associated with the sales office, sales support team and key vendors to achieve desired objectives. Ensures coverage in the sales office and provides leadership to sales support team to assist Lottery Sales Representatives, vendors and retailers in a timely fashion. YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS : Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in marketing, business administration or a related subject field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience. Experience: Five years' related work experience in a sales and marketing environment, at least two years of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. License/Certification: Possession of a valid New Hampshire driver's license. State of New Hampshire defensive driving certificate required. The work of an employee in trainee status i n this position shall be overseen by a fully qualified individual. An employee in trainee status shall meet the minimum qualifications within the period of time specified on the SJD, not to exceed one year of being hired into this position. Responsibilities : * Oversees and manages the Lottery Retail Sales Office operations, ensuring that product appearance and placement and sales promotions continuously meet and exceed standards and provide an exceptional customer experience. Provides exceptional customer service while ensuring proper money handling, balancing of inventory, and processing of claims. * Supervises Internal Sales staff (Sales Support and Sales Office), to include approving leave, completing performance appraisals, and scheduling of staff to ensure incoming calls and requests for information are covered at all times and workflow is not interrupted. Recommends personnel actions for subordinate employees, including hiring, incremental salary increases, memos of counsel, and disciplinary actions. Hosts weekly meetings with direct reports. * Analyzes sales strategies and works with Sales Supervisor to conduct trainings in new sales strategies being introduced to sales staff and retailers. Oversees the development of promotions and trainings for retailers in conjunction with guidance by sales management. Works with vendors on retailer training content changes and reviews all training documents. * Fields calls from retailers to address issues with Lottery equipment, instant ticket ordering through TelSell, new locations, and other matters concerning the sales and promotion of lottery products. Addresses customer complaints from players with retailers. Assists in handling ticket issues due to theft, fire, or other hazards. Ensures changes of ownerships, installations and removals are processed in a timely manner and communicates these to internal and external stakeholders appropriately. * Procures equipment for use by retailers and Sales Reps according to the State of New Hampshire procurement guidelines. This includes specification development for menu boards, dispensers, play stations, and other items used to sell or promote tickets. * Manages communications including, but not limited to, updating the Retailer Financial Portal with weekly messages, sending terminal messages for new games and pulled games, overseeing the Retailer Website for accuracy and timely updates, overseeing Sales Rep automation tool for accuracy and timely updates, and provides field updates to the appropriate internal/external parties. * Conducts weekly status meetings with vendors. Reviews vendor service level agreement monthly to ensure accuracy. Holds vendors accountable for service level agreement. Compiles monthly information into quarterly documentation for the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Product & Program Officer to review. * Monitors and approves the movement or installation of all retailer equipment and ensures accurate monthly equipment invoices are received. Escalates discrepancies to the vendor and Chief Financial Officer. Monitors and tracks consumables to prompt ordering and verifies paper shipment invoices. * Completes, or ensures accurate and timely completion of vendor audit calls, quarterly retailer bonuses, Sales Rep bonuses, quarterly and annual requests for sales information from Lottery stakeholders and partners. * Serves as back up to the Sales Manager responsibilities when they are unavailable. Acts as secondary back-up to the field supervisor to assist with overall field management. Participates in other projects as assigned.
