That's where you come in. We are hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to serve as the starting point for all new client relationships, making this a crucial role within our organization. Successful SDRs will interface confidently and professionally within the market and qualify leads that help build the pipeline for our sales team. The primary responsibility of the SDR is obtaining new business by contacting cold & warm leads through several lead sources. Using a combination of sales methodologies and channels, SDRs engage with stakeholders and decision makers in a variety of industries to demonstrate the value of our software and pre-qualify buyer fit and need. This role can be at our HQ in San Diego or remote anywhere in the United States. * Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Attain proficiency in all CMX1 products & services * Generate sales leads by effectively prospecting and engaging midmarket and enterprise accounts through ICP-aligned targeting, account research, and outreach * Promptly work inbound marketing qualified leads and maintain a disciplined outbound lead creation motion for named accounts, accounts showing buying intent, and other list sources * Employ a multichannel outreach method leveraging phone, email, and social selling * Ensure optimal lead qualification through prospect discovery calls and sales pre-qualification criteria * Explain our software to prospects in a way that's easy to understand and tailored to their specific needs * Practice excellent CRM hygiene for tracking, visibility, and reporting around your efforts while maintaining strong document management practices for files and lists that exist outside of CRM * Be a super user of our tech stack to boost your productivity and efficiency * Work alongside the marketing team, third party vendors, and sales team for outreach scripting, pre-show efforts for trade shows, and creative messaging and content offers * Adapt to changes, suggestions, and constructive learnings from the marketing team, sales development team lead, account executives, and senior leadership * Work with/alongside account executives and sales engineers to smoothly transition discovery calls to opportunities and advancement of opportunities to forecast * Set qualification, discovery, demo, and reconnect calls as needed while maintaining precise notes of conversations, prospect interest and needs, solution fit, and prior history with CMX1 or other solution providers * Follow up with and maintain ownership of prospects until complete handoffs have been made with account executives * Experience You 'll Need: * Bachelor's degree preferred * 2+ years of experience in business or sales development, sales, or customer care * History of quota or bonus attainment based on meeting or exceeding targets * Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and other B2B tools for contact acquisition and enrichment, market research, intent monitoring, call and email outreach, and call recording * Experience with Google Enterprise or Microsoft Office applications for daily task management * Comfort with leveraging AI tools to enhance personal productivity (research, messaging ideation, and more) * Essential Skills: * Professional curiosity and the ability to lead conversations * Strong time management and organizational skills * Persistence, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Goal oriented and self motivated * Ability to work well in a team environment * Coachable
