You will work in a fast-paced bakery store environment, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage cash handling duties will be essential to your success in this position. Duties * Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently during customer transactions. * Process sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. * Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about products and services. * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the customer experience. * Stock shelves and ensure that merchandise is displayed attractively. * Supervise and train new staff members as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment. * Utilize basic math skills to perform retail math calculations for pricing and discounts. * Communicate effectively with customers, addressing any concerns or issues promptly. * Adhere to all store policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Requirements * Previous experience in a bakery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. * Proficiency in cash register operation and cash handling procedures. * Strong phone etiquette for effective communication with customers over the phone. * Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. * Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members alike. * A proactive approach to stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels is highly valued.
