Overview: Nakupuna Prime is looking for a Data Analyst to support a Navy customer at the Pentagon. The ideal candidate has experience transforming large structured and unstructured datasets in support of high-level officials and is a self- starter, capable of seamless work in an individual or team setting. Responsibilities: The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. * Provide support and analysis for data science, analysis, and management expertise for acquisition data, to include identification, collection, cleansing, analysis, and interpretation of acquisition data, and transforming raw data into meaningful information. * Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. * Develop and update acquisition, business, and sustainment (ABS) data system activities, processes, and guidance for accountability across the DON enterprise. * Coordinate, collect, consolidate and analyze information contained in various databases and information collected during data calls for ABS data systems. * Provide strategic evaluation of ABS data system related issues and support developing strategic plans for improvement initiatives. * Coordinate, collect, consolidate and test ABS data systems to problem solve, validate, and account for DON requirements and support of FIAR. * Develop training materials. * Provide ABS data systems support to include but not limited to hands-on or remote training and job aids. * Develop and maintain a website to support the DON ABS data systems communities. * Participate in the review of various ABS data systems (for software releases), and support implementation of correcting functioning software. * Plan and document meetings, to include providing reports, briefing materials and tracking actions. * Use standard formats and guidelines to draft and prepare official documents and communications. Qualifications: Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is familiar and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities: * Strong quantitative ability and a keen eye for detail and accuracy. * Strong background in and experience with data visualization and dashboard creation, to include experience with Tableau or Power BI. * Experience with SharePoint content management and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R. * Demonstrated experience compiling, organizing, and cleaning large datasets for input into dashboards or business intelligence tools. Experience with data mining and statistical analysis. * Self-motivated and self-monitoring, exceptional oral and written communications, and ability to multi-task. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Highly proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Education and Experience: This position requires a bachelor's degree and four years of demonstrable data analysis experience. Department of Navy experience strongly preferred. Clearance Requirement: Active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. * Location:* Work is performed on-site at the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. * Physical Requirements:* The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation: * Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. * Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. * Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
