The Automotive Sales Manager at Mauer Auto Group is responsible for leading the sales team to achieve dealership sales goals, maximizing profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and operational oversight to drive sales performance and maintain high standards of service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Sales Strategy and Planning: * Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. * Analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies to optimize performance. * Team Management: * Recruit, train, and mentor sales staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer service. * Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. * Foster a positive work environment to boost team morale and productivity. * Customer Relationship Management: * Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained, addressing any issues or complaints promptly. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals. * Implement customer retention programs and follow up on sales leads. * Sales Operations: * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales department, including inventory management and pricing strategies. * Coordinate with other departments (e.g., finance, service) to streamline sales processes and enhance customer experience. * Compliance and Reporting: * Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, procedures, and legal regulations. * Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and inventory levels. * Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends. * Product Knowledge: * Maintain a thorough understanding of the dealership's vehicle inventory, including features, benefits, and competitive positioning. * Stay informed about new vehicle models, industry developments, and technological advancements. Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the automotive industry or a similar role. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities. * Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. * Proficiency in dealership management software and CRM systems. * Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 1 year in a managerial role. Work Environment: * Full-time position with regular retail hours, and additional hours as required to meet business needs. * Monday - Saturday, hours vary each day. * May involve occasional travel for training or industry events.
