Sales Consultant (No Cold Calling) This position is based out of Leavenworth, Kansas, just northwest of Kansas City. Armed Forces Insurance invests in our employees, and we want candidates to know that. For this position, the cost of your Property & Casualty license will be covered by our company. Additionally, we will pay you for the study time required for the licensing exam. Compensation Starting Pay $48,500-$56,500, depending on experience. We do not pay commissions. This is the hourly rate of pay. Work from Home Requirements This position may be eligible for 50% telecommuting after training period and satisfactory job performance. Must Have Qualifications * 4 years of customer service experience, preferably in a financial services environment, * 4 years of higher education, college credit hours, Associate's Degree, or BA/BS Degree may be substituted for experience * Or currently a licensed representative in a property/casualty insurance company * Keyboard skills of at least 35 wpm * Competent written communications skills * Excellent verbal communications skills, to include a courteous, confident demeanor and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary * Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word * Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills * Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures Preferred Qualifications * Currently a licensed representative in a property/casualty insurance company What professional education requirements do I need to obtain * Ability to obtain the state agent's Property & Casualty personal lines license within 90 days in the position, and to maintain an unrestricted license thereafter * Completion of insurance designation or equivalent professional designation within 33 months in the position * if incumbent did not have prior experience in a position with this requirement Benefits * Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, life & disability insurance including an employee assistance program (EAP) * 401(k) including employer match & safe harbor contributions * Generous paid time off policy, medical leave, volunteer time off and 9 paid holidays * We support employee training and professional development opportunities with a tuition reimbursement program and continuing education and re-certification opportunities * Volunteering and community engagement opportunities Who are we and what we 're about Since 1887, Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) has existed with a single, unwavering purpose: To protect the people who protect our nation.
