Full description of the position

A leading manufacturer of commercial food service robots company is seeking an Outside Sales Representative.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate daily reports of sales activities and submit them to management.
  • Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers.
  • Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the companys marketing presence in the territory.
  • Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients.
  • Update client information in the company contact database with sales progress reports.
  • Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
  • Demonstrate products on-site, at showrooms, or through video calls.
  • Deliver products to customer locations if needed.
  • Provide product training, and aftercare service, including technical support.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedules and business trips.
  • Focus on sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of dealers, submitting orders by referring to price lists and product literature, and keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and delivery schedules.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems: developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reaching out to technicians on the manufacturing side and being able to repair products.
  • Train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targes.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent monitoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
  • Basic Japanese skill is a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time.
  • Must be able to lift 80lb of product.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
