The Educational Programs Consultant is responsible for providing pre-sales support for curriculum, instructional design, content, and implementation of all Edmentum products. The role will work across all sales distribution channels to promote Edmentum products and contribute to the product revenue plan. This role serves as a subject matter expert for state and national curriculum requirements and how they align to all Edmentum products and product implementation. Responsibilities include new business development and expansion opportunities in the way of virtual and in person product demonstrations, national product webinars, account reviews as well as collaboration with all sales and services professionals. This position will require about 40% travel across the US. Ideally this resource would be located in the Western Region of the US.
Here's what you'll do:
Provide pre-sales support on Edmentum products for new business development and expansion opportunities.
Edmentum product expert, maintains a complete command of all product lines
Work with all sales channels from lead qualification through closure to meet and exceed product revenue targets.
Participate in sales presentations, webinars, lunch-and-learns, etc. as a subject matter expert on designated Edmentum products.
Understands developments, changes and trends in the education market as they relate to Edmentum products.
Ability to customize and deliver engaging sales presentations to meet prospective customer needs.
Continuously develops an in-depth understanding of new features/solutions as product releases occur and how those features/solutions apply to the sales process and sales cycle.
Assist all sales representatives in understanding and implementing effective positioning of all Edmentum products.
Assist in the onboarding process of new sales personnel as defined by the training and readiness team with regard to Edmentum products.
Work with classroom teachers, campus administrators, and key district contacts to promote the use of Edmentum products.
Complete all necessary sales paperwork promptly, thoroughly and accurately.
Participates in key trade shows by representing the organization and sharing information on products.
Create annual goals to support actionable and measurable milestones for customer acquisition, retention and expansion of Edmentum products.
Understands major competitors and how Edmentum products differ.
Assist with RFP responses as requested
Maintain accurate and up to date engagement activities through the selected CRM tool.
Work with outlined travel budget as well as defined processes
May travel up to 60%
Here's what you'll need:
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 3 years in the K-12 education market preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales role preferred.
Prior teaching, administration, or similar experience preferred.
Edmentum product experience preferred.
PC knowledge/experience: ability to utilize the PC as a planning, administrative and demonstration tool.
Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a fast paced and changing environment
Active listening skills
Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to adjust work hours as necessary to meet territory and business needs (including time zones)
Able to develop effective sales presentations
Able to work independently and as a team in a collaborative manner
Knowledge of K-12 and/or adult education markets including an understanding of curriculum, local standards and trends in education
