Description: The Inside Sales Specialist ensures and contributes to a positive customer experience by taking ownership of customer service inquiries and driving to acceptable resolution. The specialist will be responsible for customer orders from order entry through the shipment of product. This broad responsibility requires the individual to be resourceful with strong attention to detail and have the ability to work independently with a variety of different business functions. Upon successful on boarding, the Inside Sales Specialist will transition to their own account list.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and completely into the ERP system
  • Closely follow progression of responsible orders through the system, addressing any non-conformance.
  • Professionally respond to customer questions related to product selection, order maintenance, pricing, and/or transactional issues
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and the internal Can-Do team to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Expedite orders where necessary, provide order status, and resolve related inquires as an advocate for the customer
  • Processes non-conformance, returns, and credits as needed


Skills and Qualifications

  • Customer service oriented with a desire to assist others
  • Previous competency in, or the ability to develop, superior proficiency in utilizing an ERP system to manage orders, obtain order status, and process transactions
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate with confidence
  • Ability to develop, improve, and maintain outstanding relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Performance focused with a bias to execute on responsibilities without being asked
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to balance multiple priorities





  • Associates degree, or applicable record of experience
  • 1 to 3 years customer service experience – call center, data entry
  • Highly accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as a team
  • Computer competency – including Microsoft Office Suite, email, web-based tools



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 1+ years of Inside Sales experience
  • Experience with Epicor or similar ERP
  • Experience with Customer Portals and or EDI process
