As a Logistics Outside Sales Account Executive, you will serve as a customer service professional who manages client accounts within the logistics industry, focusing on providing transportation, storage and shipment solutions. You will combine your sales expertise with logistical knowledge to acquire new clients, manage existing accounts, and ensure efficient shipping, warehouse storage solutions and retrieval. Key responsibilities include generating leads, presenting sales pitches, negotiating contracts, and resolving customer issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the logistics sector.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
Understanding client needs and providing tailored logistics solutions.
Sales and Negotiation:
Delivering sales presentations and pitches to potential clients.
Negotiating contracts and rates with clients and transportation providers.
Meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
Customer Service:
Providing excellent customer service and support.
Addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, particularly in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.
- Logistics Knowledge while not required is a plus: Understanding of logistics operations, transportation modes, and supply chain management. Experience in the flooring space would be a gigantic advantage
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and rates effectively.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to shipments and logistics operations.
- Customer Service Orientation: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and support.
- Organization and Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
