Full description of the position

Job Summary

SalesFocus Solutions (www.sfsmars.com) is a fintech leader serving the business needs of financial services companies. We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven business development and sales representative to identify prospects in the asset management industry and sell them on the value and benefits of our MARS Platform and related services. Our clients include some of the largest mutual fund firms and ETF providers. A sample list of some of our clients and prospects is located at https://www.morningstar.com/asset-management-companies. This is a remote position.


Duties

  • The position is responsible for understanding SalesFocus Solutions product and service offerings, their value proposition, the asset management industry landscape, our competitive advantages, and formulating solution proposals that address the prospects business needs. Some of the position responsibilities include identifying new opportunities, prospecting through email campaigns and calls, qualifying prospects, and driving new business through the sales process, which involves providing presentations and demos of the MARS system, as well as negotiating and closing software licensing and services agreements with C-level executives in the Asset Management Industry. Proven experience and a track record of selling products and services, especially to C-level decision-makers in asset management organizations, such as mutual fund firms, is essential.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience and track record with selling software-related products and services, especially to C-level decision makers in asset management organizations, especially firms Mutual Funds, ETFs, Interval Funds, etc ;
  • Responsible for the entire sales cycle, including generating leads, qualifying prospects, performing product demonstrations, contract negotiation, and closing opportunities;
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the MARS product suite and services to be able to communicate solid arguments to prospective customers as to the business benefits of using our products and services;
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations tailored to the prospective customers needs;
  • Strong product demonstration and presentation skills; must be able to demo the product suite and communicate the product features and business value to prospects;
  • Proven track record in identifying and closing new business opportunities;
  • Ability to independently direct activities to close business opportunities;
  • Strong negotiating and closing skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Team player with a high degree of enthusiasm for technology sales;
  • Keep abreast of the asset management industry and technology trends
  • Asset Management industry experience is essential;
  • Excellent negotiation skills with an ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Salary, plus commission and bonuses


Experience:

  • Software Sales/Business Development: 3 years (Required)
  • Working in firms (or selling to firms) that sell investment products such as mutual funds, ETFS, interval Funds, etc.: 2 years (Required)
