Position: HVAC Commercial Sales Engineer Status: Full-time Location: Western Michigan Company: Carrier Great Lakes is a Heating, Ventilating, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) wholesaler in Michigan and Northern Ohio. Job Responsibilities: * Primary focus on generating Carrier Great Lakes Commercial product sales including, but not limited to, Rooftop Units, Split Systems, Building Automation, DOAS Units, and Ductless & VRF Systems through pre-sale design/application support, quoting plan & spec take-offs, and design build projects. * Develop and maintain relationships with established accounts to maximize sales opportunities * Develop new business through prospecting & account acquisition to maximize sales * Maintaining and updating project quote files. * Follow up on projects post-bid to ensure high closure rate. * Have a thorough knowledge of all CGL products available * Provide post sale jobsite visits when needed to achieve customer satisfaction * Establishing and maintaining good relations with customers by providing prompt and courteous service for all customers, both in person and over the phone. Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree and/or minimum 3 years HVAC sales experience. * Experience selling to Contractors, Consulting Engineers, and Owner community. * Knowledge of HVAC design and application tools. * Exceptional interpersonal communication, negotiation skills, and customer focus. * Qualified candidates will have both a business and a technical background. * Good computer skills and common software literacy. * Efficient at Microsoft Office. * Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Solid critical thinking, problem-solving and planning skills. * High level of personal accountability; sense of urgency and self-initiative is a must. * Highly motivated self-starter, able to work with minimal direction required from management. Qualifications: * Experience working with HVAC contractors & engineers. * Knowledge of a distribution environment.
