Technical Sales Representative South Bend, Indiana (Hybrid) * What is Molding Products: Founded in 1978, Molding Products LLC, an operating business of IP Corporation, supplies sheet molding composites (SMC) to the growing compression molding industry. Today, the company remains focused on providing industry-leading, custom-formulated molding compounds for a wide variety of industries and applications. These partnerships provide customers with comprehensive concept to final product solutions. Services provided through these partnerships offer customers mold prototyping, presses and contract manufacturing of molded products. * What you 'll do as a Technical Sales Representative: As a Molding Product Technical Sales Representative, you will combine your technical expertise with sales acumen to drive revenue growth by assisting customers with both product purchases and the technical application of our offerings. Work closely with clients to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and provide tailored solutions that leverage our products effectively. This role involves both sales activities and hands-on-technical support, ensuring that customers achieve optimal results with our products. * What you can expect to do as a Technical Sales Representative: * Account Management: Serve as the commercial and technical point of contact for plant and floor personnel, ensuring seamless communication and support. Support and nurture existing accounts by identifying new business opportunities and promptly resolving any technical issues. * Sales Support: Collaborate with our product development team during development molding trials, offering technical expertise ensuring thorough follow-up to drive successful outcomes. Work closely with customers to develop new product applications, conduct trials and launch tailored solutions for increased revenue with existing and prospective accounts. * Customer Relationship Management: build and maintain regular contact with key customer contacts to proactively understand their needs and deliver ongoing support to expand new materials and revenue objectives. Manage and resolve complaints quickly, ensuring customer satisfaction resulting in account growth. * Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise: Deepen knowledge of our product portfolio and how it uniquely applies to customer operations. Work with R&D to develop customized solutions that meet specific customer composite material requirements. * Technical Competence: build strong customer bonds by technically supporting and improving compression molding processes utilizing Sheet Molding Compound (SMC). * Account Growth & Retention: Identify opportunities for growth within existing and new target accounts and contribute strategies for maximizing revenue by establishing strong customer cross-functional relationships. Collaborate with internal resource teams by providing insights to retain and expand business and customer purchases. * Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the R&D and Operation teams for product trials, providing technical solutions, and support. Work closely with management, and marketing teams to deliver Share market insights and customer feedback to help refine our strategies and offerings. What we are looking for in a Technical Sales Representative: * Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, chemistry, or a related field is preferred. * 5+ years of proven experience in technical sales. * Ability to work remote and travel within a defined market segment/geographic territory. * Must have a valid passport. * Proven technical experience in the thermoset composites industry, and/or in compression molding processes and Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) preferred. * Hands-on problem solver with strong technical knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to customers' needs for improved production operations. * Experience with CRM-Customer Resource Management Software (Salesforce). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts. * Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and internal partners. * Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach to resolving technical issues * Why IP Corporation? * Positive, challenging and supportive work environment. * Competitive benefits, including dental, vision, generous PTO, 401(k)with company * Match, company care, and more. * Freedom to innovate and make a difference in a vibrant, values-driven company that cares about its people Molding Products is an equal opportunity employer and encourages diversity in the workplace. The annual salary range below is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations. * Pay Transparency Range $80,000.00--$100,000.00 USD
