Alpha Builders Construction is a full-service construction company specializing in both residential and commercial projects. With a focus on quality, integrity, and client satisfaction, we tackle everything from roofing and flooring to electrical, plumbing, and more. As we grow, we're seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator with a strong sales background to join our team. We are looking for a results-driven Commercial/Residential Estimator who not only understands construction estimating but also brings sales acumen to the table. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who can accurately assess project costs while also closing deals and maintaining client relationships. Qualifications * Proven experience in construction estimating and sales. (commercial and residential) * Strong understanding of cost control and pricing strategies * Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar). * Excellent negotiation skills * Familiarity with construction site operations and management * Knowledge of contracts and project management principles * Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities * Conduct detailed construction estimating to determine project costs and pricing strategies. * Develop competitive bids and proposals. * Manage contracts and ensure compliance with project specifications. * Utilize software tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid for accurate project assessments. * Engage in negotiations with clients to secure contracts and foster relationships. * Oversee project management tasks to ensure timely completion and adherence to budgets. * Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for commercial projects. * Prepare detailed take-offs and proposals. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and clients. * Identify new business opportunities and participate in client meetings and negotiations. * Track market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and strategy. SALARY * The compensation structure includes a base salary of 40,000 per year, plus a 15% commission on any job the individual secures for the company. Your earning potential is uncapped and directly tied to your performance.
