Part-Time Store Associate - Nearly New Appliances (San Antonio, TX) Join a growing startup and help redefine how customers shop for appliances! About Us: Nearly New Appliances is a local, startup retail business in San Antonio specializing in open-box appliances. We're building something different - offering quality appliances at affordable prices with a focus on customer service and community trust. Position: Part-Time Store Associate (3 days/week to start, potential for more based on performance) Who We 're Looking For: We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who's ready to grow with a fast-moving startup. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, wants hands-on experience in retail and operations, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. No prior experience required but encouraged and factored into compensation. Key Responsibilities: * Assist customers on the sales floor and at checkout * Maintain and update inventory on the store website * Manage the front desk, answer phone calls, and provide excellent in-store customer service * Keep the store organized and clean * Learn about different appliance types and models to better assist customers * Opportunity to take on more responsibilities (marketing, logistics, operations) based on interest and skills * If interested and able to, assist with deliveries and appliance installations Requirements: * Strong communication and people skills * Detail-oriented and able to multitask * Basic knowledge or interest in household appliances is a plus * Comfortable with technology (updating website inventory, simple computer tasks) * A team-player mindset, with an openness to learning and mentorship Compensation: * Base hourly wage + commission (discussed during the interview) * Potential for increased hours and role expansion as the business grows If you're dependable, eager to grow, and want to be part of something from the ground up, we'd love to meet you.
