Position Summary The Sales Engineer will use their technical skills to explain the benefits of US Tarp products and services to potential and/ or existing customers and to show how US Tarp products and services are better than our competitors. The Sales Engineer will also prepare and assist with engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information for engineering and application trends from our customers. The Sales Engineer will serve as a liaison in the sales process when complex and technical equipment or services are involved. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. * Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current customers and others in a position to understand service requirements. * Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests. * Supports the establishment of new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedule with the US Tarp Sales Team. * Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, sourcing, and finance at US Tarp. * Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of products, supplies, or service applications in customer environment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services. * Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements of US Tarp and its products and services. * Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes. * Develops customer's staff by providing technical information and training. * Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and anticipating future legislation. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. * Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. * Other related duties as assigned. Sales Engineer Qualifications / Skills: * Problem solving * Product knowledge * Selling to customer needs * Software requirements * Product development * Presentation skills * General programming skills * Technical understanding * Verbal communication * Requirements analysis * Innovation Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) * Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field * 1 Years of experience in engineering, design, and manufacturing * Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computations. * Strong analytical thinker * Valid driver's license * Proficient in Engineering Software and Microsoft Office applications * Effective verbal and written communication * Professional interactions with customer, vendors, and employees * Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate channels. * Ability to operate standard professional office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and file cabinets.
