Full description of the position
Key Responsibilities: Technical Expertise: * Understand and communicate the technical features, benefits and applications of b&m IP products. * Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team and customers. * Conduct product demonstrations, presentations and training sessions Pre-Sales Support: * Assist the sales team in identifying customer needs and developing tailored solutions. * Collaborate with the sales team to create and deliver effective sales pitches and proposals. * Respond to technical queries from potential customers and provide detailed product information. * Decision-making on the feasibility of products. Customer Engagement: * Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing excellent technical support. * Conduct regular site visits to understand customer requirements and ensure product satisfaction. * Address and resolve technical issues that arise during the sales process. Market Presence: * Dedicate a minimum of 2 days per week to field activities, engaging with customers and prospects. * Conduct at least 5 qualified customer visits per week to maintain a strong market presence. * Participate in industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote company products and gather market insights. Product Integration: * Work closely with customers to ensure successful product integration and application. * Provide post-sales support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. * Offer recommendations for product improvements based on customer feedback. * Supporting function for testing and analysis of products and applications Collaboration and Coordination: * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product development and marketing, to align on product features and market needs. * Provide feedback from the field to help shape product development and marketing strategies. * Participate in internal meetings and contribute to the overall sales and technical strategy. Documentation and Reporting: * Prepare and present technical reports, documentation and case studies. * Technical evaluation of customer inquiries. * Preparation of templates for the creation of technical drawings. * Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, technical issues and resolutions. (This includes also Meeting Minutes for all visits.) * Report on field activities, customer feedback and market trends to senior management. * Online Pipeline updates on a monthly basis, latest on the last day of each month. Sales-Related Tasks: Sales Support: * Assist the sales team in achieving sales targets by providing technical expertise. * Develop and deliver technical proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs. * Support the sales team during negotiations by addressing technical concerns and providing solutions. Client Engagement: * Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to understand their technical requirements. * Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional sales. * Provide exceptional customer service to build trust and loyalty. Sales Reporting: * Track and report on sales activities, including customer visits, proposals and technical issues. * Monitor sales performance against targets and provide regular updates to senior management. * Assure positive Pipeline growth month on month * Use CRM tools to manage and document client interactions and technical support activities. Work Environment: * Office/ field-based with regular travel to meet with customers and prospects. * Occasional attendance at industry events, trade shows and conferences. Reporting Structure: * Reports to the Sales Engineering Manager *Performance KPIs & Metrics: * Turnover as per Target set for the Year. * Operating Result as per Target set for the Year. * Monthly Pipeline Updates. * Monthly Positive Pipeline Growth. * Monthly Customer Visits. * Increase in b&m IP Product Sales.
