Full description of the position

Position: Product Sales Engineer - Machinery Division We're looking for a Product Sales Engineer to join our Machinery Division in a hybrid technical-sales role. You'll partner with Sales Representatives to provide in-depth technical expertise, drive new business, and support customer success. If you enjoy blending engineering know-how with customer interaction, this is your chance to make a measurable impact. Key Responsibilities: * Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with Sales Reps to provide technical guidance--focused on 98% account retention and 2% new acquisition. * Sales Team Training: Lead product and technical training to improve internal knowledge and sales effectiveness. * Client Engagement: Build strong customer relationships by delivering customized machinery solutions based on client needs. * Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to support product positioning strategies. * Project Evaluation: Assess new opportunities from both a technical and commercial lens. * Order Support: Assist in managing follow-ups, order processing, and closures for seamless transactions. * Custom Solutions: Coordinate and document special equipment requests with precision. * Proposal Review: Ensure technical accuracy in customer-facing proposals. * On-site Activities: Participate in field visits, trade shows, product demos, and seminars. * Cross-functional Alignment: Partner with sales leadership to align technical efforts with business goals. What We're Looking For: * Technical Expertise: Strong problem-solving ability and hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems. * Industry Experience: Familiarity with Packaging, Food & Beverage, or related process industries preferred. * Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in selling engineered or technical products. * Communication Skills: Clear, professional communication--both written and verbal. * Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred. * Business Savvy: Strong commercial understanding and professional presence. * Tech-Friendly: Experience with CRM platforms a plus. Physical & Travel Requirements: * Able to lift and handle machinery components and product samples. * Willingness to travel occasionally (~5%) for site visits, customer meetings, and industry events. * Comfortable working in various environments including production floors.
