Please see this video about our culture: [please apply online] Essential Job Function As a Systems Designer, you'll play a vital role in supporting business development efforts by collaborating with clients, sales teams, and internal engineering resources to ensure project goals are clearly defined and achieved. You'll be involved from the earliest phases of opportunity pursuit, helping to guide the vision while ensuring feasibility and budget alignment. Duties & Responsibilities In compliance with company policies, procedures, standards, and applicable regulations, the Systems Designer shall: * Client & Business Development Support: * Assist in identifying and qualifying new opportunities in collaboration with the sales team. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors to understand their needs and objectives. * Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights for the design and engineering teams. * Work closely with the proposal team to develop compelling presentations and scope documents that align with client expectations and budgets. * Design Collaboration & Project Support: * Provide input and support during the project planning and design phases, ensuring alignment with client goals and technical feasibility. * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, proposals, and design specifications. * Assist with pre-contract documentation, including executive summaries, budgets, and preliminary design concepts. * Support project teams during implementation by ensuring the design intent is maintained and addressing any client concerns. * Communication & Coordination: * Serve as a liaison between sales, engineering, and project management teams to facilitate smooth project handoffs. * Ensure all project stakeholders are informed and aligned on scope, timelines, and deliverables. * Track changes and scope adjustments, working with the project management team to address impact effectively. Qualifications: * Experience in A/V, lighting, shading, and automation system design. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a keen eye for detail. * Familiarity with project processes from initial concept through implementation. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment. * Passion for technology and innovation with a desire to continuously learn and grow. Work Environment Job duties are performed in the Company's offices/warehouse as well as various jobsite locations throughout Southern California. Physical Requirements Ability to safely: * Operate a motor vehicle * Stand or walk 30% and sit 70% of the time * Lift and carry up to 30 lbs for a distance of up to 30 feet * Visually distinguish between different colors * Detect and retrieve messages over the phone * Bend, reach and retrieve filing * Working at desk using computer (typing and mousing) 60% of the time; roll, unroll, and move blueprints weighing up to 10 lbs. 10% of the time Work Schedule 40 to 50 hours per week as required to maintain projects with a favorable outcome. Weekends and after hours meetings may be required by clients or other trades.
