DataCom is actively seeking a Sales Engineer / Estimator to assist in the Design and Estimation of technology solutions to our customers. You will be responsible for Field Assessment of Customer Needs, Project Estimation, Generation and Delivery of Proposals for the company. Willing to train the right individual. Responsibilities * Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base * Accurately estimate projects in house for DataCom's sales pipeline. This may include: Communications Cabling, PA/Intercom Systems, Access Control Systems, CCTV/Surveillance Systems, AV Systems * Prepare and deliver proposals based on RFP or other customer requirements * Partner with other sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles * Successfully match customer requirements to proposed solutions * Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition * Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses Skills * Strong Math, Reading, Writing and Computer Applications Experience (Word & Excel) * Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer in a similar field is desired, but will train the right individual * Personable, and able to relate well with other team members and customers * Ability to clearly explain and present complex technical concepts in an easy to understand manner * Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in Structured Cabling, Networking, AV and/or Paging Technologies desired * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent presentation and creativity skills * Willingness to travel if needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $52,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits: * Health insurance * Paid time off Compensation Package: * Bonus opportunities Schedule: * Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: * Holt, MI 48842 (Required) Work Location: In person
