Penmac is seeking a Sales Engineer Contract Manufacturing for a local Warrensburg client. This is an on-site, temporary-to-hire position with a starting salary of $45-50k. As a Sales Engineer Contract Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and providing technical expertise to support manufacturing solutions. This role combines sales and engineering functions, requiring collaboration with internal teams to ensure successful project execution while maintaining industry standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development: * Identify and develop new customer opportunities in contract manufacturing. * Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive long-term business growth. * Represent the company at trade shows and customer visits to generate leads and expand market presence. Engineering & Technical Support: * Provide technical expertise to support customer needs and project requirements. * Develop and implement engineering solutions to optimize manufacturing processes. * Create and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. Testing & Analysis: * Conduct research and testing to validate designs and manufacturing processes. * Analyze test data to troubleshoot and optimize product performance. Project Management: * Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time delivery. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering and sales efforts. * Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project progress and customer solutions. Compliance & Industry Standards: * Ensure all projects meet industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices. * Stay current with emerging technologies and manufacturing innovations. Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement: * Identify technical and operational challenges, develop solutions, and implement improvements. * Support the development of innovative contract manufacturing solutions. Qualifications: Education & Experience: * Associates degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) required; Bachelors degree preferred. * 2+ years of experience in an engineering or technical sales role, preferably in manufacturing. * Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, and welding. Skills & Competencies: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in engineering and design software (e.g., CAD, simulation tools). * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience in contract manufacturing sales or a similar industry. * Background in a specific engineering or sales specialization.
