About Us Materium is a leading supplier of high-quality construction materials, serving a diverse range of clients including hotels, apartment buildings, city projects, malls, hospitals, schools, office buildings, and multi-family properties. We're seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to help us continue expanding our presence in the commercial and public works sectors. Key Responsibilities Prospect & Develop New Accounts Identify potential clients in both private (hospitality, retail, healthcare) and public (city, state) sectors. Cold call, network, and leverage industry relationships to secure meetings with key decision-makers. Build & Maintain Client Relationships Establish strong rapport and trust with purchasing managers, project managers, and executives. Provide ongoing support to ensure seamless product delivery and client satisfaction. Regularly follow up with existing clients to explore future project needs and maintain long-term partnerships. Contract Negotiation & Closing Deals Present tailored proposals for large-scale material orders, demonstrating value and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to meet both client requirements and company objectives. Execute sales agreements and manage the contract process from initial offer to final signing. Collaborate with Internal Teams Work closely with operations, logistics, and procurement teams to align product availability and delivery timelines with project schedules. Ensure that all contract details are accurately communicated to relevant departments, minimizing errors and delays. Market Intelligence & Strategy Stay current on industry trends, new product developments, and competitor activities. Provide feedback and strategic insights to management for new product offerings or market expansion. Sales Reporting & Accountability Track sales activities in the CRM system, including calls, meetings, proposals, and orders closed. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, actively contributing to overall company growth. Required Knowledge & Skills Construction Industry Expertise: Familiarity with various building materials (e.g., steel, concrete, drywall, flooring, fixtures), project life cycles, and key stakeholders. Relationship Management: Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with high- level decision-makers and project managers. Contracting & Bidding Processes: Understanding of both private and public sector bidding, procurement regulations, and contract management. Technical Aptitude: Ability to discuss material specifications and align product solutions with client requirements; comfortable reading blueprints or project documents. Sales & Negotiation: Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, with a persuasive communication style and effective negotiation strategies. Organization & Time Management: Skilled at balancing multiple clients and projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
