Full description of the position
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced outside sales representative to drive and manage business growth in fabrication, injection molding, thermoforming, urethane molding, and overall engineered solutions in the automotive industrial sphere. This individual will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with key customers, including major automotive companies such as GM, Ford, and Stellantis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, engineering, and communications, enabling them to effectively articulate the value of our solutions to clients in a highly technical market. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market share within the automotive and industrial manufacturing sectors. * Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target companies, including engineers, procurement managers, and executives. * Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through networking, industry events, and direct outreach. * Work closely with internal teams, including engineering and production, to ensure customer requirements are met with tailored solutions. * Conduct product presentations and technical discussions to demonstrate the advantages of our fabrication, injection molding, thermoforming, urethane molding, and engineering capabilities. * Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements. * Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly. * Provide feedback to the engineering and product development teams to support continuous improvement and innovation. * Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reports using CRM software. Qualifications & Skills: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of outside sales experience in manufacturing, specifically within fabrication, injection molding, thermoforming, urethane molding, and/or engineering solutions. A strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics is essential. Candidates should possess the ability to interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and production processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in market analysis, business development, and effectively positioning products to different industries is highly valued. A proven track record of negotiating and closing high-value deals with major clients is crucial. A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Additionally, candidates must be willing to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
