Full description of the position

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The KEES Application Engineer (AE) serves in a front line role with our independent sales rep firm customers. The AE counsels reps regarding the KEES products and pricing to best meet the needs of plan & spec and design & build opportunities brought forward by the reps. This is a team of creative engineers with excellent mechanical aptitude and communication skills who thrive on advising and collaborating with customers. In addition, there is managing projects and collaborating with the shop to create new designs and processes or improve existing ones. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Deliver front-line advisory and support to KEES's customers * Provide consultation to KEES's network of sales rep firms in order to ensure the proper product selection based on the supplied plans and specifications * Provide technical support to architects and engineers based on KEES supplied performance data for products and requirements * Establish and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of KEES's products and its competitors' products * Partner closely with a rep firm to jointly manage multiple quotes and orders for a large building project * Conduct outreach to rep firms in order to capture feedback on open quotes for KEES products Drive continuous improvement * Evaluate KEES and competitors' products for performance, quality, and sustainability Product development * Support Technical Sales on its development of new products and product enhancements based on market opportunities and requirements * Provide support in the development and upkeep of various product line technical information QUALIFICATIONS * Expert at consultative customer engagement * Seeks to understand the voice of the customer * Proficient at time management, planning, prioritization and multitasking * Serves as an effective brand ambassador for KEES * Collaborate effectively with KEES Layout, Operations and Marketing teams * Possesses an appetite for learning and understanding KEES products * Excellent written and verbal communications * Serves as a strong teammate - Ready to support Inside Sale colleagues in direct service to KEES's customers * Possess a high degree of creativity to define innovative and practical solutions that solve KEES's customers' needs * Other responsibilities as assigned by manager REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in engineering or Associates and equivalent job experience * 3 years in the HVAC industry as an engineer or sales Rep (preferred) * Extensive understanding of mechanical processes and cost estimating Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Referral program * Tuition reimbursement * Vision insurance Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday Application Question(s): * Please share your salary expectation Ability to Commute: * Elkhart Lake, WI 53020 (Required) Work Location: In person
