Position Purpose: The Sales Engineer is an entry-level position focused on cultivating new business and developing relationships within a defined territory. This individual will be responsible for building product knowledge while hunting for new opportunities. They will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and Technical Application Engineers to drive the sales process, primarily focusing on initiating conversations and identifying potential opportunities Responsibilities: * Develop product knowledge and stay up-to-date on Fowler's products and features. * Identify and prospect new customers within the assigned territory via cold calls, networking, and referrals. * Cultivate and maintain relationships with both existing and potential customers. * Schedule meetings, presentations, and site visits to introduce Fowler's products to prospects. * Work with Regional Sales Manager and Technical Application Engineers to provide initial sales support. * Assist in gathering technical data and product specifications for customer proposals. * Support and participate in trade shows, product demos, and customer events. * Ensure proper CRM data entry and follow-up to track sales opportunities. * Continuously improve product knowledge through training and self-study. Minimum Requirements: * High School diploma or GED (required); Bachelor's degree (preferred). * At least 1 year of experience in a sales-related role (preferred). * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. * Basic knowledge of technical products or an eagerness to learn. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. * Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Work Environment: This position is a combination of on-the-road sales and work from home. Location and work environment will be driven by customers' needs. This position requires working near moving mechanical parts and results in occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. When visiting a customer site, this position can be exposed to a loud environment.
