POSITION TITLE: Reports to: Engineering Manager Classification: Salaried Exempt Division: Engineering JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the Sales Engineering Support Hackney or Kidron Products as assigned. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, Completing Sales Engineering Requests (SER), providing Sales presentation drawings, special option pricing, and detailed order review. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Provide sales engineering support to include drawings, weight distributions, chassis review/recommendations, special options pricing, and feature/option guidance. Utilization of various MS Office programs, JobScope and AutoCad is required for this function. 2. Review received JobScope orders for accuracy and feature compatibility, providing feedback to customer service/inside sales for corrections needed. 3. Create special option feature numbers (Kidron) or provide pricing only (Hackney) with pricing based on most accurate information of material and labor costs available at the time of SER request. 4. Maintain appropriate data base as needed for the specific product. (Kidron only) 5. Maintain quote configurator or pricing spreadsheets for accurate sales quotations. 6. Supervise and direct activities of Sales Engineering Specialist/Technician if so assigned by Engineering Manager. 7. Provide assistance to sales, particularly as relates to new special options. 8. Support continuous improvement by focusing best practices and identified process improvements. 9. Perform other required duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 1. BS in Engineering related field or Associates degree with related work experience. 2. Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment. 3. Ability to use MS Office effectively. Experience in using Jobscope and AutoCad will be advantageous. 4. Ability to effectively work with all levels of employees from shop floor to senior executives. 5. A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. 6. Ability to perform short and long range planning. 7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills & project and program management skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Ability to lift at least 20 lbs. regularly. 2. Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, stoop and bend. 3. Ability to effectively communicate. 4. Needs good vision, corrected allowable.
