In this role, the sales team will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with both new and existing clients through consistent communication and outstanding customer service. The goal is to meet or surpass sales targets while expanding knowledge of customer industries and sectors, ensuring top-tier customer support, and offering expert technical guidance and advice. Responsibilities: - Offer expert technical advice on optics and related products - Provide technical sales support and guidance to customers - Research and develop new product concepts - Identify potential new key suppliers and maintain the supplier database in SAP Business 1 - Address technical inquiries related to optics - Prepare and deliver quotes - Assist the sales team with technical support - Troubleshoot and find solutions to technical challenges - Explore the development or sourcing of new products and ideas with commercial potential Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Quality and accuracy of technical advice - Team collaboration and relationship building - Quality of design work - Innovation and creativity in ideas - Customer satisfaction with technical support - Contribution to new product development and idea generation - Website traffic and engagement - Google search ranking performance - Monthly newsletter engagement - Achievement of sales targets Person Specification: Key Skills Required: - Interest in science and technology - Proficiency in Excel - Proficiency in Word - Experience with SAP Business 1 or willingness to learn - Strong communication skills - Professional telephone etiquette - Sales skills (training provided for the right candidate) - Strong organizational skills Qualifications: - Bachelors degree from a 4 year institution (Prefer science, math or technical degrees) - Experience with SAP software preferred - Experience working in a scientific or technical field preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Health insurance * Paid time off Compensation Package: * Bonus opportunities * Commission pay Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
