About the Job The Director of Sales role is key to delivering our impactful technology to our patients, attaining aggressive sales goals, and capturing market share as a whole. From managing a team spanning several states and developing B2B sales in a new territory with clinical audiences, to maximizing patient outcomes, the Sales Director is key to enabling Icarus' advanced bracing to become the industry standard. This position offers an entryway into the competitive and lucrative medical device sales industry, as well as potential for rapid career advancement into the VP of Sales role in our high-growth organization. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a motivated individual who has strong leadership experience, sales DNA, technical aptitude, and who resonates with our mission to improve patient outcomes. The right candidate will be able to blend their advanced management skills with deep product knowledge and the ability to cultivate quality customer and clinician relationships to grow sales. The individual will be accountable for prospecting a territory, holding in- services with clinical customers, onboarding accounts, and maintaining account relationships to establish a pipeline and achieve monthly sales goals . Expectations include understanding our customers' needs and requirements, ensuring our sales team is there to provide a seamless customer experience, and maintaining/ growing revenues from accounts. Icarus offers an intensive 4-week training program at headquarters called "Icarus University" where you will gain mastery of a new world of products and biomechanical concepts that make Icarus special. What You Will Work On * Manage individual sales plans for reps under management; drive the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue or unit targets, both individual and team-based * Recruit, train, develop, and lead a hybrid domestic sales team covering domestic and International geographical markets * Develop and implement sales strategies throughout the Icarus sales force * Lead, develop, and manage complete global hybrid sales force and delegate management responsibilities when appropriate * Onboard direct Icarus sales managers and distributors, and/or delegate onboarding process; develop and manage training process * Hold regular team sales calls updating progressional trends; be available to communicate with leadership team daily on sales issues; increase team communications if necessary * Cultivate an empowering high motivational global culture in-line with Icarus mission and values * Present sales strategy and updates as needed for investors, fundraising, etc. * Preparation and distribute commission reports for direct and independent sales, and ensure their accuracy, in a timely fashion, with assistance from Evan * Identify opportunities and needs in business development; respond to these needs with hiring plan and work with leadership team, SAB, and company board to achieve goals * Implement management process for Salesforce CRM * Work closely with National Sales Manager Who You Will Work With You will be reporting directly to the CEO, and interacting closely with the COO, Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service and Billing departments. Icarus is a small, nimble, and well-connected team. What You Bring * Thinks and operates as a business owner. A self starter * Bachelor's degree in business or technical field (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience and training is required * Cumulative GPA > 3.2, for recent graduates * 5 years of relevant sales experience in medical devices (preferred) * 1 year of customer relations (preferred) * Ability to adapt and think on your feet * Prior startup or high-growth company experience (preferred) Job Type: Full-time This position is highly performance-based. Salary: Starting at $100K basis with an additional $5K per month that is performance-based for annual total compensation with up to an additional $200K and plus significant equity opportunities. There is no cap on commission earned for the sales team. Starting bonus in equity options, as well as bi-annual cash and equity bonuses are available based on individual and team performance.
