Full description of the position

Responsible for acquisition of new foods service accounts within the designated assigned geography or segment. These include single unit and regional chains. Foodservice accounts include: restaurants, bars, caterers, casinos, health care, university/college, hospitality, and leisure and lodging locations. Essential Duties: * Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate individual and corporate goals. * Negotiate terms and conditions, overcome objections, and close sales. * Assure that lists of prospective foodservice customers are compiled using data from newspapers, business directories, trade publications, and divisional data enterprise customer resources, and other sources. * Planning and execution of sales calls on prospective customers; Includes developing and delivering sales presentations and conducting product sampling * Use of consultative, solutions-oriented, value-based approach to gaining incremental accounts. * Collaborate with team members and functional departments to achieve individual and departmental goals. * Development of sales objectives and strategies to ensure maximum profitability potential * Manage actual performance versus plan. Develops contingency plans as needed. * Travel both within and outside Region as needed to accomplish objectives. * Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry, customer, and consumer trends. * Prepare reports of business/customer business development activity and monthly travel expenses. * Contribute positively to the culture, business, and productivity of the team. * Customer retention tied to divisional strategic target list and assist in the long-term customer loyalty. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University; or five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer candidates with foodservice experience. * Experience using consultative, solution-driven, and value-based selling approaches. * Able to develop productive business relationships, both internal and externally. * Leadership skills: able to motivate others and communicate common vision * Able to work independently with limited supervision. Must be self-motivated. Able to work from a home office. Salary of $85,000 to $100,000 depending on competency, experience, qualifications and skills plus annual bonus potential.
