Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Used Car Manager to lead our pre- owned vehicle department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive sales and inventory management, with a proven ability to negotiate deals and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage the used car inventory while driving sales and profitability. Responsibilities * Oversee the daily operations of the used car department, ensuring efficient workflow and high levels of customer satisfaction. * Manage inventory levels, including purchasing, pricing, and merchandising of used vehicles. * Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets. * Train, mentor, and motivate the sales team to enhance performance and meet dealership goals. * Negotiate vehicle purchase agreements with customers and wholesalers to maximize profitability. * Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly to remain competitive. * Maintain accurate records of vehicle sales, inventory levels, and customer interactions using dealership software. * Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss performance metrics, sales techniques, and customer feedback. Skills * Bilingual proficiency is a plus for effective communication with diverse clientele. * Strong public speaking skills for presenting vehicles and promotions to potential buyers. * Proficient in sales support activities that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. * Experience in inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained. * Familiarity with dealership software for tracking sales data and managing inventory efficiently. * Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms for both the dealership and customers. * Understanding of retail math principles to analyze sales performance accurately. * Ability to conduct cold calling initiatives to generate leads and expand customer base within the community. * Previous experience working in a dealership environment is highly desirable. * Strong mathematical skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
