Full description of the position

PB Loader Corporation, a leading manufacturer of Truck-Mounted Loaders, Asphalt Patchers, and related equipment, seeks a team oriented, motivated, and detail-oriented Applications Engineer to join its dynamic team in Fresno, California. This position is responsible for preparing detailed work orders based on quotations and specifications for heavy-duty truck equipment. Essential Duties include, but are not limited to: * Review specification, quote, and sales order to develop detailed job scope for manufacturing and engineering to build units. * Create customer print layouts as needed to convey built design. * Assess feasibility of a project and help quotes adequately budget, or flag project as Research and Development. * Collaborates with the engineering team to ensure communication processes and recordkeeping aligns with sales quote. * Work with engineering and sales on issues or product configuration if the sales order is not defined. * Work with buyers to procure all long lead items and ensure that they are aligned with work order(s) planned start date. * Verify customer chassis, request chassis order, assign stock chassis. * Track and revise job scope in a timely manner throughout the build process. * Ability to check historical data and how it relates to current build of design. * Analyze and determine if ECR's from production need approval. * Assess Sales requests for changes to Product Standards to determine reasonableness to ECR. Supporting Duties, but not limited to: * Advise others on ways to improve processes or products. * Assist planning team on updating jobs into the system. * Assist in job closure. The desired candidate will possess these qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is required * At least 5 years of related industrial experience in engineering role. * Must understand bill of materials, read technical engineering drawings, technical specifications and have basic skills in manufacturing or processes * Ability to read and adhere to manufacturing blueprints and measurements. * Excellent verbal and written English communication skills * Ability to establish and maintain rapport with diverse population * Highly organized and driven to meet deadlines * Customer service and detail oriented * Dependability in attendance and work ethic Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
