At Timber Creek Recycling, our team members are at the heart of what we do, and we value their integral role in achieving our goals and serving our customers. * Position Overview We are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Business Development Manager to lead our inbound sales and marketing efforts, drive measurable growth, and help shape our company's future. This role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for developing and executing strategies that increase revenue, improve customer engagement, and expand our market presence. This individual will lead a growing Marketing and Inbound Sales team while collaborating with Production leadership to ensure inventory and material availability align with our sales pipeline and forecast. The ideal candidate will know how to leverage technology to measure results, optimize performance, and promote growth. * Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy * Contribute to high-level strategy as a member of the Senior Leadership Team * Lead and develop the inbound sales and marketing team, setting performance goals and fostering collaboration * Oversee business development strategies, customer acquisition, and market expansion initiatives Sales Operations & Production Alignment * Coordinate with Production leadership to ensure sales forecasts are aligned with available and upcoming inventory * Proactively collaborate across departments to streamline order fulfillment and customer experience * Monitor and optimize the full sales cycle to ensure accurate, timely, and customer-centric service Marketing & Brand Growth * Oversee digital marketing, branding, and content creation to support lead generation and customer engagement * Direct marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including web, SEO, email, and social media * Execute a content management plan including case studies, blogs, and other materials that highlight Timber Creek's unique value CRM & Technology Enablement * Promote and execute the daily use of the CRM to support an overall strategy * Track sales activities, lead performance, and customer interactions in the CRM * Leverage software tools to improve sales efficiency, reporting, and visibility Customer & Market Engagement * Maintain and grow key customer and vendor relationships * Conduct market research to identify opportunities and inform future growth strategies * Plan and manage promotional events, trade shows, and customer engagement campaigns Performance Monitoring * Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI within sales and marketing * Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve team effectiveness Qualifications & Skills * 5+ years of marketing and sales experience. Experience in recycling, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus, but not required. * Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or 10 + years of related experience * Proven ability to manage and grow a team, with experience mentoring employees and fostering a collaborative work environment. * Sales expertise and a proven track record in developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth. * Technologically savvy with experience integrating software systems. CRM proficiency required (HubSpot preferred), and experience with Point of Sale systems is a plus. * Creative and critical thinking skills and an ability to develop innovative marketing campaigns. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to craft compelling messages. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
