Product Manager (Technical Sales) Packaging Industry Title: Product Manager - Packaging Equipment Location: Grapevine, TX 76051 (North West Dallas) (Hybrid) Salary: $120,000 - $150,000* Base *+ Bonus + Travel Reimbursement Established in 1947, we are a global leader in custom packaging solutions with a dedicated team of approximately 3,500 employees. We are currently seeking a Product Manager with a Technical background in Packaging Equipment and sales experience. -Must Have DIRECT experience with packaging equipment (Case sealers, tapers, strappers, box erectors)- What You Will Be Doing * Determine customer specific needs and prepare presentations of product/system designs. * Train & Lead the sales team on packaging equipment and consumables. * Plan and target accounts, markets, industries or geographic activities. * Sell across multiple platforms: flexibles, rigid containers and packaging equipment. * Optimize barrier properties of film structures to meet/exceed customer expectations. * Understand all facets of primary packaging and related equipment. * Articulate technical details of packaging manufacturing processes. (Extrusion, lamination, thermoforming, high-end printing) * Develop and present technical product presentations and quotations to high-level customer managers. * Supervise acquisition, ordering, delivery, installation and start-up of product orders. * Identify and qualify new packaging equipment and vendors with state-of-the-art technology. What You Need for this Position * Bachelor's Degree in packaging, engineering, business, or a related field. (Master's is a plus) * 3+ Years of experience in theconsumable packaging industry. * Strong Technical knowledge of packaging equipment. * Ability to work collaboratively. * Strong communication skills. (written, verbal, in-person, and remote) * Demonstrated competencies in commercial acumen, contracting, process design, problem-solving, supplier relationship management, negotiations, leadership and teamwork.
