Kenworth Sales Company, a 37-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Inside Parts Sales Representative to join our Richmond, VA team. Due to federally mandated DOT regulations, Kenworth Sales Company is a drug-free workplace. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screening. JOB SUMMARY: Handle internal and external customer request for parts purchase, both in person and on the telephone. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Research customers' requests and needs where necessary and determine correct part(s) needed * Wait on customers or mechanics at parts counter or over the phone * If part(s) is in stock produce invoice from computer system, if not in stock and customer wants to order, create Purchase Order and process orders * Checking in orders and receiving Purchase Orders in the business system * Assisting with inventory and core returns to vendors, including pulling, packing, and shipping * Restock shelves and maintain parts bins, i.e., rearranging parts, cleaning, labeling, etc. * Delivery of parts to customers as the need arises * Assist with annual parts inventory physical count, to include actual physical counting of parts, tallying of counts, etc. * Assist Parts Manager with miscellaneous tasks * Complete all required job related training QUALIFICATIONS: * Mechanical aptitude desirable * 2 years heavy duty truck parts experience * Computer terminal data input and 10 key calculator * Understanding of office procedures, to include filing, correspondence, and basic accounting * Knowledge of bills of lading, freight bills, and heavy and medium duty diesel truck parts * Valid Driver's License and good driving record * Excellent organization and communication skills * High school diploma or the equivalent * Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information BENEFITS: * Kenworth Sales Company promotes a progressive environment with an emphasis on teamwork, customer service, training and personal development. * Stability Company is financially strong with an established base of customers and is well-positioned for continued expansion. * History of Excellence Work for an award-winning dealership with a reputation for unsurpassed quality and customer service. * Excellent compensation and benefits package including comprehensive Health and Dental insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) with FLEX Card, Group Life Insurance, Short Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance, Voluntary Life Insurance, Corporate Holidays, Paid Vacation and Personal Leave, 401(k) plan with company match, and Voluntary Supplemental Insurance plans.
